    DR. DOUGLASS TOTH
    Chiropractor and Clinic Director

Dr. Douglass Toth is a Sonoma County native, born and raised. He grew up in Healdsburg on his family’s vineyard and winery where he developed his love of the outdoors and all the things that make wine country special. He is an SCDS and Cardinal Newman Alumni. From there his journey led to a strong interest in health and psychology and fell in love with studying the human body. He felt inspired by what the body is capable of doing and how mindfulness plays such an integrated role in the capacity for healing, and expanding our human potential.  He felt powerfully drawn to investigate and explore how movement and structure relate to performance in everyday life and focused his undergraduate studies in biology, physiology and kinesiology.

This lead to a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Science and later a deep calling to explore yoga.  In his youth he enjoyed many sports including playing tennis and becoming an expert downhill snow skier, he played soccer, ran for the track team, wrestled in high school, trained in Taekwondo and Jiu-jitsu, was an avid trail runner, cycled the Sonoma County back roads while training for triathlons, and surfed all up and down the Pacific Coast.  While still having a passion for sports Yoga slowly became a growing center point. Over time Yoga helped him to transform his interest in physically demanding exercise into a powerful practice of understanding the body, exploring movement and releasing limitations. Yoga gave him an opportunity to cultivate a focus on mindfulness, integration of strength and flexibility and lifelong health.  These principles of health are the inspiration for helping his patients.  While going through chiropractic school he earned his 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification with David Moreno in Berkeley CA.

    EDUCATION

Dr. Toth earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Science From HSU before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College West in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating Suma Cum Laude. He also completed postgraduate training and certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified in the Webster technique.

Through all of his studies and interests Dr. Toth ignited a true passion to help people develop a relationship of health and wellness with their bodies. He has gained expertise in nutrition, exercise, and mental centering, as well as posture and ergonomics. Together Dr. Toth partners with his patients to develop a unique approach to resolving their pain and helping patients see what there is to learn about their body as they get better. This relationship of wellness with the body helps prevent future issues and empowers patients to be proactive in their health.
