Restoring calm and order to your chaos will make you happier. Make your bed every day and take ten minutes to pick up clutter before you leave in the morning. Coming home to an orderly house will make you feel less frazzled in the evenings when you’re trying to cook dinner and help with homework and finish up those last few emails from the office and to bath and bedtime.
People who master skills are generally happier in life as well. This might be stressful at the moment but once you master the skill, you’ll feel proud which leads to overall happiness.

Make an awesome list of three fabulous things that happened to you today. These don’t have to be monumental, they can be as simple as “My mom sent me a card with chocolate in it” or “I took a long lunch to spend extra time with a friend.” Enjoy the little moments in your life. They are worth celebrating.
